Onboarding Review

Deeping Source left a strong impression with its unique touch, such as naming meeting rooms after sauces like Mayonnaise, Wasabi, Balsamic, and Sriracha. The Daily Sync-up meetings provided an efficient way to plan and share tasks for the day. The one-on-one feedback sessions with the manager offered deep insights into the role, with valuable mentoring that proved to be a great source of support.

The onboarding process was made smoother by following a personalized Notion page with clear guidelines, and the end-of-day reflections with intern colleagues fostered meaningful communication and learning.

Job Satisfaction

First of all, the ability to freely commute through a flexible work system is believed to significantly enhance work efficiency. This autonomy has greatly assisted in balancing personal life and work, providing an environment conducive to focused work.

Concepts about AI that were previously understood only abstractly were concretely verified through code and actions, allowing for the learning of how these previously abstract concepts are implemented in practice. In this process, many insights were gained, and particularly, the experience of solving problems in real projects was very engaging.

The process of addressing the diverse requirements of clients with offline spaces through Deeping Source's unique AI solutions was impressive, and being able to contribute meaningfully to that project was very significant. Unlike merely learning AI theories, the experience of seeing tangible results from contributions was also very meaningful. Additionally, witnessing how the decisions made reflected in the company's products and services, leading to positive changes, instilled a sense of anticipation for contributing to more projects and tasks in the future.

Technical Challenges

The experience of planning the Post-Processing Setting UI was impressive. It became clear that the process involved not just designing the UI, but also considering how the product should operate from various perspectives. This task was more challenging as it required a comprehensive approach that encompassed not only technical aspects but also user experience, product consistency, and customer requirements.

Throughout this process, it became clear that actively communicating with team members and gathering diverse opinions to collaboratively find solutions could create significant synergy. Working alongside colleagues from different fields and striving to create better products through their feedback was both enjoyable and fulfilling.

The process of exploring new technologies and finding optimal solutions to meet the requirements of clients was also incredibly engaging. By directly experiencing how Deeping Source's AI solutions apply to solving real customer problems, it was possible to witness moments where technology creates tangible value. These experiences provided new challenges and learning opportunities as a new employee and have set the stage for continued growth in the future.

Personal Development and Opportunities

At Deeping Source, team members regularly hold seminars, providing opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of each other's roles. These seminars not only foster team cohesion but also create a valuable time for learning while respecting each other's expertise. Other teams also actively conduct seminars, making it appealing that anyone can freely participate in topics of interest from different teams.

In the daily 'Spec Hour,' team members set agendas for discussions on particular topics. This time is immensely helpful for a new employee to quickly grasp new concepts and fill in gaps in knowledge.

In particular, when expressing a desire to learn about a specific topic, team members often prepare related books and share necessary materials, reflecting their warm consideration for supporting each other's learning.

Team Culture and Collaboration

First of all, the collaboration process with the POs while defining and solving problems was very impressive. There was a process of clearly defining the problem and sharing it with other POs, where we deeply discussed the essence of the issues we needed to address. The effort to collaboratively revise documents and find better directions was a true reflection of the meaning of teamwork. Although communication mainly took place through Slack, face-to-face discussions were also used to aid understanding in complex situations that required extensive explanations. The combination of recorded online communication and in-person discussions greatly enhanced the team's communication efficiency.

Additionally, there have been many learning opportunities from colleagues with diverse roles and expertise. Working alongside team members with specializations in areas such as design and project managing, which are usually not encountered, provided new perspectives and helped develop the ability to view problems from various angles. While technical skills are important, the most significant learning came from collaborating with team members from different backgrounds, which led to unexpected insights and a comprehensive consideration of various factors during the decision-making process.

The synergy of collaboration, where team members fill in each other's gaps and discover aspects that I may not have considered, is one of Deeping Source's greatest strengths.
